[Kevin Patrick] "Perhaps I was a little misleading. You're right the Adobe booth was not a large booth. Total footprint might have been close to Autodesk, at best, smaller than AJA and BM's huge booth. "
I don't know how many times folks here go to NAB, but this is basically the same design BMD has had for several years. The map footprint is misleading, because there's a huge empty, seating/meeting area behind the wall. It's the same size or larger than the product display area in front. In the past, when BMD was by the stairs, they used the same design but placed the wall on a diagonal. The current floor space does seem to be about the same size as Apple's last booth in the same area of the hall.
Of course, now they have more products to show. For example, they now only compete with AJA on cards and format converters. Add to that, DaVinci, switchers, routers and cameras. BMD seems to be going for being a SONY/Ampex/RCA/Grass Valley-type company as a mainstay of the industry.
Generally all of these companies are still financially challenged and have gone with smaller booths than in past years.
