[Oliver Peters] "Cut with low-res media files. Dupe the Project and then Relink media to the high-res files. You can have changed the clip name in the Event and when you Relink it asks for the original media file name instead of the changed name. That's great. The only missing feature seems to be that there is no "match exact name", so you have to hunt down the list and find the exact match. Once the first one is found, the rest will also be found.

Clips for the relinked files will be imported into the Event, so if you are using this for offline-online, I recommend creating a new Event and associating the duped Project with that new Event as its default. Otherwise you'll get duplicate clip names in the same Event."
