wire removal tool

Is there another paint package that has a wire removal tool like the one in Commotion?

And while I'm at it, is there a particular paint package people feel strongly about? It would ideally include said wire tool and real time playback where you don't constantly have to do ram previews. I'm at yet another house where Commotion is the package of choice but it's getting hard to run since the program hasn't been updated in years, which is a REAL SHAME.
