I think the advice
[Murray North]
" under no circumstances should I ever dub to more than one (HD)SDI recorder at once"
is wrong. However, what you describe would be just as wrong. Let me amend your advice.
Under no circumstances should you ever dub THROUGH record decks.
You can accomplish what you want here if you use multiple outputs from the same deck. If the deck doesn't have multiple outputs, then you need a distribution amplifier.
So in your case, it would be: JH3 (source) connected to all the downstream decks via multiple outputs/distribution amplifiers.
Never loop signals through decks to make copies - you run the risk of signal degradation and sync discrepancies. Think parallel, not serial.
