Zacuto Z-Finder with Canon 60D's articulating screen

I've tried using a Marshall monitor with my Canon 60D, but the limited resolution of the output from the camera's HDMI port makes any electronic monitor rather useless (imho) - esp. when using Magic Lantern.
So... I'm back to my Zacuto Z-Finder Pro 3X. But the standard method involves using a the Gorilla baseplate, which immobilizes the 60D's marvelous swiveling screen.
I wonder whether anybody has figured out a solution for using the Z-Finder Pro with the 60D while preserving the ability to swivel the screen.
Thanks.
