Richard Floyd-WalkerPossible purchase of PC.

Hi.
I use a late 2009 27" imac (Core i5, 2.66Ghz, no sandy bridge processor and no Nvidia card). I work in After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator and have recently upgraded to CS6 (which is a great upgrade by the way).
However I am wondering if I should think about getting a PC in order to just run the Adobe Suite to take advantage of Nvidia cards.
However I'm not sure what level of improvement I should expect. My budget is around £800.00 and I can afford something like this:

But would something like this seriously be quicker than my imac.
I mainly work in 1080p 25fps. My workflow includes AVHD Intra and, very occasionally, red footage.
I know this question probably gets asked a lot but I am not interested in any OS X vs Windows debate. I work with both of them and am happy in either one. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
I completely understand that £800.00 is not going to get me a workstation class machine.
I'm just trying to find out if it can buy me a machine that feels faster than my imac, which is starting to feel a bit sluggish. This is more of a tentative toe dip into the pc world.
I look forward to your replies.
