Myself, I'd be okay going with an HP machine - even the H8 with an i7 cpu. Things to look for, and you may just want to upgrade when you get the machine are:
1. Power Supply - looks like 300w is the base, which is fine for most things, but I would want more power to add more drives.
2. HDD - you could just get 1 and add later.
3. RAM - same as 2 - can add later.

If you get the base on these, I think you will find better pricing on these other components. Although, I didn't look at how many drives the case will accomodate...
