Fastest Encoding workflow

We need to make sure we are encoding in the fastest way possible and I have some questions that may help.

1. When encoding a prores 422 Qt to flash 8 does it matter where the final output is? For instance would saving it to an internal drive be faster than over the network (gigabit network). What if the output was going wireless to the network would that be slower than hard wired? In other words is the encoding slowed by networks, or is the encoding slower than the transfer?

2. Does squeeze use hyperthreading and multiple cores?

3. What mac hardware will encode the fastest?

Anything different about encoding for your tube with H.264?
