I heard that ProRes is being bundled with the new Adobe software suite now so I assumed that meant it would soon be fully readable and writable on both platforms and, therefore, commonly accepted at all video facilities ... admittedly, quite a leap of faith on my part.

I'll do some more testing with QuickTime H264 ... so far, I've been getting color and gamma shifts, but I'm sure that's solvable. Then, I guess I can give it a go in some spot markets around the country to see if they'll take H264 MOVs on DVD-ROM for broadcasts and that there aren't any issues.
