Hi Iris

Not sure what may be happening but I can make a few suggestions.

Firstly, make sure you have the track enabled for recording by clicking on the right hand icon for the track in the Audio Mixer.

Next, from the drop down that appears make sure you select the correct microphone.

Then, click on the red record button.

Get ready to record and the hit the play button.

Record your audio and push stop when you are done.

That should do it!

If it is more than that then you may have to go into your options for your audio hardware and ASIO settings.
