Re: Problems when I use the 'Shadow/Highlight' video effect

Thanks very much Chris and Norman. Chris, I'm going to try what you're saying. Right now, I have a weird related situation where the renders from these effects seems to be creating files on my hard drive that keep causing Premiere to crash, I guess because my c-drive is getting too filled up. (These render files from applying the Shadow/Highlight effect are actually shockingly big). So I had to get rid of the render files to get my computer to work, and right now I'm holding off rendering the effects again, plus the additional effects you suggested. Ultimately though, this is a separate issue, and right now, as soon as I figure out this big-render-files-causing-PPro-to-crash thing, I want to focus on the more important issue of fixing this flickering and I will try what you guys have said. But I'd certainly be interested in anyone's advice if they've Encountered Premiere crashing for this reason.
