CS5 and 7D Footage

Hi. Since CS5 can edit the 7D files natively, is it a better idea to just edit the files right in CS5, or is it a better idea to convert the files with neoscene or something else, and THEN edit them in CS5. The fact that there is a preset for dslr is great, but I wasn't sure if it's safer and easier to convert first and then edit the files. thanks!
