Import curves presets?
by Paul Binns on Nov 5, 2009 at 2:54:22 am

Is there any way that I can import curves presets created in photoshop into premiere?
I am much more adept at colour correction using photoshops tools than I am with premiere's so in the past I have output stills from the video that I am editing, colour corrected in photoshop, then imported the photoshop files into after effects and then applied the colour corrections to my footage and exported the cc'd files, replacing the ones in my premiere project.

This worked fine when I was working with standard definition video, but now I am working with HDV and the render time for about an hour of footage is about 25 hours (this is on an Imac c2d 2.4).

Not all the footage needs to be colour corrected - I would prefer that the colour correction was simply applied to the particular footage that appears in the edit during output.

I have tried applying the effects in after effects then copy and pasting the video files from the after effects timeline into the premiere timeline but premiere cannot import the filter (message: Offline (filter unavailable)

Anyone got any suggestions for how I can get my particular curves presets into premiere?
