I just figured it out. It wasn't the cache locations. I have a second drive for that. After reading other posts about similar problems I wound up making yet another new sequence and set the preview settings to Quicktime and then pasted my timeline in. It works fine now. I usually work in After Effects so these little things throw me in PPro.
