Are you sure all your scratch and cache disks are set up on the same drive which keeps the same letter every time you move to another computer. If you are using mac, then going to Pc and back you will run into problems as mac doesn't recognise drives by their letter as PC does.

PS: Don't have all the files in folders on the drive. Use PPro to sort out your files. I have a max breakdown of media on the drive into groups of Images, Video, Audio, Renders this way all video should link up from the one folder location and the images are all in the one location etc. Name your files properly to keep ontop of which media is what and organise in the NLE otherwise the drive is scattered and so it NLE looking for media.
