PC specs change so often...

A few things to strive for:

Biggest display possible (highest res)

decent display card (NVIDIA happens to be my preference)

As much RAM as possible

As powerful a processor as you can afford.


It's important to note that all the things that make a laptop better for video editing make it worse for battery life...
