Well, try this.

Drop the clip on the timeline in Sequence 1,

mute the audio track, then ADD the audio to the next available audio track you want to use.

then go to File -> New -> Sequence,

In the timeline select this sequence (sequence 2).

then drag and drop sequence 1 to the source monitor.
