OK thanks Vince.

I think i may be the 'victim' of the latter, as the same file(s) seem to be getting generated, and this process is taking quite some time, even with me not touching the software.

When you say "move the media cache folder", to which are you referring (i.e. how ill I identify this), where will I move it to, or do you mean delete it altogether?
