Having trouble capturing my zoom...

Hi,

I'm new to the forum, and a bit of a newbie at Premiere Pro! I've shot some blue screen footage; when I was shooting, I zoomed to make sure that the non blue edges were cut out, and moreoever to get the effect I wanted!

When I capture, it seems everything, or certainly more than what I was viewing on the camera's viewfinder screen has been captured.
Is there anyway to get my originial zoom back?
