29.976fps in 24p timeline?

29.976fps in 24p timeline?

I'm setting of a project that will house mostly 720p 23.976fps footage. I have some other footage that is 720x480 29.976fps that I want to work with in the same timeline. I want to maintain the highest quality up until I lay off to DVD. Should I set up my project at 29.976 or 24p? Since about 2/3 of my footage is 24p I'm inclined to set up the project around that, however this will worsen the quality of the other footage significantly.

Any advice on how to set up this project is much appreciated!
