bowling ball trail

Hello, I'm a little new and inexperienced to Adobe Premiere, but I am using Premiere Pro 7.0 and I have some footage of a friend bowling that I would like to edit but I'm not sure how to do what I'd like to do. I'm sure there must be an after effect or some transition for it but I would like to add ghost images of the bowling ball as it goes down the lane to trace the path of the bowling ball or maybe just have a white line trail the bowling ball so that after it's gone all the way down the lane there is a record of it's complete path from foul line to the impact with the bowling pins.

Any help is much appreciated and thank you ahead of time.
