Actually, I did. My understanding was that they simply provided uncompressed i/o benefits rather than actual acceleration... thus, I opted for what appeared to be the only game in Adobe's town.

I come from a past filled with Fast's DVMaster (the renowned "bleeding edge"), then Canopus' DVStorm... until Canopus and Adobe "divorced". I long for a DVStorm (and the Canopus codec), but using Premiere rather than Edius.
