Creating a setup DVD for 5.1 surround sound
by Jerry Black on Jan 8, 2008 at 11:41:01 pm

I want to create a DVD that contains audio test tones that are actually mono in nature but will be mapped in PPR to selected 5.1 channels with the track controls to cycle the tone to each channel for effective level setting of each speaker. There is no video with this piece except for a round test pattern which can be used for a quick check of video symmetry.

I don't believe that it is necessary to begin with a 5.1 audio source in order to map channels/clips to a specifc 5.1 channel. I just have not figured out exactly how to do this.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks!!
