I'd do one of two things:
1. If the sequence needs to be shortened I'd nest the seq and then alter the speed of the whole thing.
2a. Go into the Edit> Preferences> Still Length to the actuall frame count you want based on your project's fps. Use a calc.
2b. Import the still agian, they will all come in at the adjusted length. Select them in the order you want them to cut together and then hit the overlay button (.) to place them into another seq.
