HVX200 widescreen edit confusion

I'm running PPro 2.0 with a blackmagic decklink extreme card. I've setup a project in 10bit YUV (PAL SD) widescreen and captured some footage off the HVX200 via the componenet breakout cable. The footage when it appears on my monitor looks 'squeezed' so I adjust my monitor to 16:9 and it looks perfect. I've now taken some footage that was done on shoot into final cut ( cos premiere can't work natively with MXF etc and I can't put the files back onto the P2 cards so i can capture again). The problem is when I export the files to my PC with PPro 2 they either come in letterboxed (720x576 16:9 final cut setting)or they come in HD (960x720 square pixels???). The HD footage I have to make smaller (80%)and then it matches my captured footage. Is this the best way to work? I want to edit widescreen SD to deliver standard SD (letterboxed look) on beta for broadcast...our broadcasters in south africa don't accept music videos in widescreen. I'm getting myself really confused please help!
