I'm using Premiere Pro with the Canopus DV Storm card on a Dell Dimension XPS system running 2 gigs of ram. I having more and more problems with the record monitor going black after rendering video. I get the "dropped frames" message, sound will play sometimes but I always have to shut down the application restart. When I do that the time line plays for a while. Most of the time i only have at the most 4-5 layers of video with interspersed efx. I've just reloaded the latest drivers from Canopus. Any thoughts? are there some settings I dont have "set right" I'm editing DV, usually wide screen.
