Roseann KennedyCan't import to IMAC

I really need help. I have Sony HXR-NX5U that I am trying to use with my IMAC OS10.6 and Final Cut Express 4. I also have a flash memory drive which I plug connect into a USB. I can see the clips on the desktop, but can't open them. I have tried log & capture, drag & drop, I movie, but I can't open.

I also tried contacting Sony and Apple for help, but no one has the answer.

Can someone help me? Please. Thanks.
