Fascinating article and very inspirational. However most interesting is the fact that the story is considered Black History Month filler for networks. indeed George Lucas himself was told by the major studios that audiences would never go see a movie about African American war heroes and he wound up funding his movie himself. Now granted Lucas has gobs of cash but he made sure to tell everyone about it as a matter of principle.
Finally, it is a little known secret among the general public that the world's biggest retailer does not pay in advance for goods that it sells. The back end usually makes up for having to front the cash yourself but that must have made you nervous having to come up with even more money out of your own pockets.
Anyway, congratulations. I'll be buying a copy.
