Walter,

A little bit late in responding, but Trout season
has opened and I was away fly fishing.
So here goes:

I Said
However, judging by the above statement and the use of the word "WE" I must ask you flat out
What exactly is your relationship with Autodesk? Consultant? Employee? Contractor?

You said

Oh I totally missed this. "WE" stands for the editing community. I guess I should have typed "WE in the Editing Community...." Does that clear things up?

Sorry, Not one bit
"WE"
Part of Speech Definition
Noun 1. The plural nominative case of the pronoun of the first person; the word with which a person in speaking or writing denotes a number or company of which he is one, as the subject of an action expressed by a verb.[Websters].

So in the future, if you want to convey
that you are only speaking for yourself I suggest that you use "I" instead of "WE"

If you want others to assume that you are speaking for others continue to use "WE"
That is unless I am mistaken
and you are really trying to convey a level of divinity
like the Kings of England who used "WE" to mean themselves and God. It gave them a little leg up subjugating their people.

And just for Kicks, Just who in the "Editing Community" gave you
the right to speak for them?
