Good article. Workflow design is a good business to be in. Whether you're working with Avid, FCP or Premiere, if you don't plan and test your workflow beforehand, you are asking for major headaches and wasted expense down the road. And you have to make Color Correction part of that equation. It's usually not very practical to try and do VFX on the final color-corrected pass, because it puts way too much time pressure on getting them done. It's much easier to color correct your edit and then match the VFX into it.
