As we haven't worked out deals for distribution yet, I'm not supposed to make this info. public. I can tell you it was under a million (well under), due to the incredible generosity of the town of Champaign, IL where we shot the film.
Many people worked for extremely reduced rates, deferred pay, or nothing at all. We had a crew of more than 60, and our cinematographer
Pete Biagi was a dream to work with.
We've got some pretty fun dance scenes starring winners and finalists from
So You Think You Can Dance. Being able to deliver a film with "giant dance scenes" on an indie budget is definitely part of the new world of cinema production. The RED camera is an incredible piece of equipment that has changed the world for the better.
