While a bit of a long trip, there are a bunch of remote desktop and VPN kind of apps - some only a couple of bucks - that allow you to use your desktop browser, including Flash.
And Word, and FCP, and Da Vinci, and a whole bunch of things that likely won't show up on an iPad. Try it. Works great. Takes about as much time to set up as it will take you to read this post.
I think that this may well be how things go from here. If you need a solution, Apple would rather have you buy it for $5 or $10 than create situations that would require work on the whole platform.
So far, with the exception of a decent, round-tripping word processor, I've found most of my iPad limitations met with apps....
