ARC 1882x with PROAVIO !

Hi All,

I have decided to set-up a new raid for my MacPro 3.1

The raid card would be the ARC1882x.

I would like to start off with a 8-bay enclosure from PROAVIO.

I have used one of their 16-bay FC enclosures at a facility before for about 2 years with no issues.

So here is the question. If I get a usual 8-bay enclosure, like the EB800MS, and in the future I want to expand, is it possible for me to buy one of their expander units, like the EBSX, and connect the EB800MS at the end of the chain ?

I am not sure how expanders work, as in do they all have to be expansion systems in a chain, or we can have a non-expander at the end of the chain ?

Also, to confirm, the EB800MS from powermax is 3gb/s ? Is there a 6gb/s version available? Where can I buy one ?
