hi there,
01) i think you need something like, cybore fx which comes free with AE 6.5PRo it has a sphere filter with lighting capabilities,
02) about other 3d objects, you can simulate the look of it, in their web site you have some examples, like the stairs example,
03) i have no idea where you can find presets for this one, sorry.
