Teo RižnarQuestion about Resolve scopes
by on Jul 31, 2010 at 8:39:44 am

Hello,
I have a question about new Resolve OS X software. Does it have scopes built in? Like Apple Color. I know software based scopes (waveform monitor,...) are not as good as ones you plug in on your output signal that goes in monitor/projector. But still I used software scopes on Apple Color for 3 years now, and it's OK. You can live with it for some time. Maybe later I would buy hardware based ones. I am asking because from photos and videos on NAB and other shows there were always Black Magics Ultra Scopes attached on Resolve. So for good work with DaVinci I will need to buy some hardware based scopes? And BlackMagics Ultra Scopes are so wired the need another PC attached. I do not understand why is so hard tho make interface and stuff to just output HDMI/DVI from device, not doing it via another PC. It sounds a little crazy you need another computer just for scopes. But I have worked on them and they are great! I admit :)
