What i did i took 3 cables and made one of those Y.

1 you use as you do now but second and third i soldered from the middle to be Y.
So cables 2 and 3 i did cut in the middle and got rid of one start point of cable.
Then i soldered start point of the cable (motherboard side) with two end points.

If you know how to solder it takes you 10 minutes.

For me it was fastest and neatest option as final setup was relatively clean, no loose
cable endings etc.
