Nick,
The V4HD specifically supports Final Cut Pro on the Mac. Currently, the V4HD does not support other video applications on the Mac.

If Final Cut Pro is installed, Quicktime Broadcaster does see video input from the V4HD. Apparently that happens because Quicktime Broadcaster uses the same components and drivers as FCP.
