In order to ingest AVC-Intra to FCP, you will first need to make sure that FCP version 6.0.2 or higher is installed on your system. You will then be able to ingest AVC-Intra footage into FCP using Log and Transfer feature under File menu.

File/folder structure must be preserved to take advantage of Log and Transfer support for AVC-Intra, therefore if you have moved files/folders around related to the P2 data, you may run into problems.

All of the above information is described in 'HD and Broadcast Formats' under FCP Help menu. Please refer specifically to 'Working with AVC-Intra' on chapter 7, p. 117and 'Panasonic P2 Card Format Specifications' on p.109.

These are Final Cut Pro questions regarding direct import of P2 clips, and they don't specifically relate to the V4HD. You may want to check in the Final Cut Pro or Panasonic forums. I'm sure there are many Final Cut Pro and P2 experts there that can offer you additional advice.

Dave
