Re: Flat Screen CRT Monitors

I forgot to mention that refurbished items can often be the best deal around. Why? It isn't really used. It came from a customer who didn't know how to use it, or it had a bad cable end, or something was wrong. The thing is, a refurbished model is tested 10 times more than a brand new one. If it comes in with a complaint, even if it is "No trouble found" (quite common) they test the heck out of it. Whereas a brand new one gets a little testing and is sent out. Why? Because that is good enough in that vast majority of cases. But your refurbished unit will be tested in all details.

I used to work for a place that refurbished units, a a test engineer. So I know the deal. I often buy refurbished. Especially monitors and printers.
