Well the work with mu ZDepth plugins starts witha ZDepth map - you have to have it :(
That's why it's main use is with CG elements because you can easily generate that map from a 3D package.
With real shot stereo footage, theoretically you could generate a zdepth map using PFtrack or Ocula and then use it with my plugins, but I haven't tested it so can't promise anything :(
