Re: looking for options, SilverLight or Flash?

After attending Media Streaming East and asking about how to stream an H.264 stream in silverlight. I was told it will be possible in the next release of silverlight, but it will have to be "smooth stream" enabled and if I understood the presenter, the server will need to be an IIS enabled server (I am not entirely sure what that is). long story short what we are leaning towards doing is using silverlight to stream our .wmv files and slowly switch to all flash as our material is retired. I hope the tech division does not opt to transcode the .wmv files to flash because as Craig Seeman mentioned earlier the quality would take a hard hit.

Tom
