[Susan Quick]
"Vegas does a pretty good job of keeping the integrity in check while converting wmv files to flash. "
Compressing an already compressed file is never a good thing. If you're talking about Silverlight why convert to flash? I don't get your reasoning.
[Susan Quick]
"Isn't Silverlight a container you can use to stream anything quickly to the client? An exe, graphics, anything you want. "
How do you see this as better than Flash?
I certainly do think Silverlight will be a big help in the corporate environment that has a large volume of WMV that they certainly do not want to compress again or recompress the sources.
It will also help when content creators who want to use some form of DRM and stream to an audience that includes Mac OS (I believe Netflix falls into this category).
