Hi all,
My name is Sharyn Shufiyan from Wild Asia, a social enterprise based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia working to support environmental and social initiatives in Asia and one of our core conservation programmes is Seed Grants, whereby we give small financial support (approx USD1,000 or MYR3,400) to projects/initiatives that are making sustainability real for communities and support the protection of natural areas. (For a list of our previous recipients, please visit

Last year, We were involved with an Eco Film Festival held locally which then inspired us to extend our Seed Grants to include the creative industry as we believe that creativity is an excellent medium to drive change and the pool of creative talents out there can help boost the environmental/conservation avenue. There is no doubt that film and multimedia can be a highly effective channel to spread the environmental and social awareness message.
If you are interested, do email me at sharyn@wildasia.org and I will walk you through the application process.
Time is of the essence as the closing date for Seed Grants 2009 application is on the 31st July 2009. International filmmakers are eligible to apply.
Hope to hear from you soon!
