Chris,

Don't give up on the Master Keyer. I'll try to help you here with some quick tips but trust me I have some training coming very soon for the keying tools.

There are 2 color pots and blend percentage in between them. Select the left pot and click and drag over a large section of the green screen (or blue). Then use the pot on the right, hold the control key and click and drag on any area of green that the first pot did not get. Now use the percentage in between to find the best balance of the two samples. With your curser over the player hit the A key to see the alpha and the C key to see the channels again (RBGA)

Next hold the ALT key with your cursor over the player and you will see different sliders appear as you move the cursor around. Bring the cursor over any area that is still giving you problems and click down, this sets the sliders and now make adjustments to the sliders in the player.

To discard the sliders click down in the lower detail area.

If you are still having problems in areas it is time to use patches. Click on the label that reads “Matte” and you will see several options in the fly-out choose “Patch”. Now bring your cursor in the player and again hold the control key and click and drag across an area that is still a problem. If you need another patch for a different area click on the label that reads patch 1 and choose new patch.

Then you can use the alpha tools or matte tolls (shrink, erode, blur) to fine tune the key.

As I said I have some in-depth training coming very soon but I hope this help you.
