toxik..very fustrating help pleaseeeeee

Hi all,
Ok, i'm an after effects user that is trying to understand toxik.
I have a very simple background image and a foreground image that is merged by a BLEND & COMP node and is ended by an OUTPUT NODE.
Great all looks good, I have a simple composite. However, if I want to color correct the foreground image, I, insert a cc basic node (infront of FG image) click on the cc node and use the cc basic parameter at the bottom of the screen Great, but when I do that, I don't see the final composite. I only see the FG image. If I want to see the full composite, I have to click on the OUTPUT NODE. So, like an idiot, I'm pressing the cc node, make adjustments, click on the OUTPUT node, look at the results. Ok, I know this is NOT the work flow.
I've looked at videos that are few and far behind.
Can someone get me past this simple problem?
So to sum up the question,
How do you color correct an image while viewing the end result composite?
Thanks,
Lou
