Correct frame rate

I am working on a shoot and some of the b-roll we will be using is some animation that has been rendered at 60i. We are shooting some interviews with the F900R and need to figure out what frame rate to shoot at in order to cut seamlessly between the interview and b-roll. We really don't want to shoot 59.94. Is that our only option or could we get away with shooting 29.97p. And we really can't re-render the animation. Anyone have any thoughts?
