Using a Canon Vixia HF21 with Blackmagic Intensity Pro

I am trying to bring in live feed from a Canon Vixia HF21's mini HDMI port through a Blackmagic Intensity Pro to Wirecast. I am using a Mac Pro that sees the BM card just fine in wirecast, but the shot from the Vixia HF21 is blank. I did go in and turn on HDMI in the menu of the camcorder but that did not do the trick.

From reading blogs & forum posts here, at Telestream forums I see that people are using the Vixia HV40 with this setup and it's working. Just not sure if it's the camera (HF21) or something I missed. Sorry for cross posting this to the BM forum and here but it has to do with one or the other.
