Hi Don, 3D tracking doesn't calculate camera movement per se, rather it follows lots of points on screen and 'solves' a camera based on the movement of those points. In the same way you can track points on a persons face, choice points can then be placed as locators in a program like Maya and a model built based on those locators. In most cases this is overkill though. People tend to try to find 2d solutions like cornerpin motion tracking, grid warping, spline warping and paint. So, for example, you could build a model in 3d that does the basic head rotation, but stationary, and then track it onto the head with the above mentioned tools.
