Re: Retime: shifting a clip in time

Hey Pete,

I met with a friend last night and he suggested the Switch node. Just now I combined the TimeOffset node with the Switch node and got what I wanted.

1. Added TimeOffset node, and set it to frame 10. By setting it to "10" I am padding the front end, so that at frame 10 you will see the original beginning of the clip. If I typed in -10 I would be trimming the clip to the 10th frame and at frame 10 when it "kicks in" you will see the 10th frame of the clip.

2. Added Swtich node, connected the "1' arrow to the BG node. Keyframed a setting of "1' at frame one; which displays only the BG in the Viewer.

3. At frame 9, I added a keyframe with a setting of "1" in Switch controls. Hence, keeping only the BG visible through frame 9.

4. At frame 10, added a keyframe with a setting of "0" in Switch controls.

5. Play back and enjoy the success. :)

Thanks to you, Pete, and my friend I found a solution. Yea!! :)
