That's pretty interesting - there's a local news station in Indy that used to use PVTV, now they use Ignite. They seemed to have a pretty good lockdown on using Chyron and PVTV as well. As much as I'd like to mess with effect in and outs, we don't have a lot of time left with PVTV - this summer we are switching to HD, and a whole new setup with actual studio crew members running audio, switcher, directing etc.

I use Leitch Media Converter. I downloaded (and briefly used) FolderWatcher, but I didn't like it as much as Media Converter. Granted, Leitch only converts AVIs, but so far there haven't been too many problems. I ended up not having to use either Folder Watcher or Media Converter for my OTS - I simply recorded an LTV clip directly from an image sequence using Chyron. And since it was a TIFF, it saved my alpha channel.
